Jitterbugz

Jitterbugz is a musical playgroup for all children aged 0-5 years and their parents or caregivers.

• At our Carlton site, Jitterbugz meets from 10:00am to 11:30am on Wednesday mornings during school term time at St James’ Church (corner of Henry and Percival Streets, Carlton).
• At our Bexley North site, Jitterbugz meets from 10:00am to 11:30am on Wednesdays mornings during school term time at Bexley North Anglican Church (end of Carrisbrook Ave Bexley North).

What happens at Jitterbugz

During our music session we play simple musical instruments; use props such as ribbons and parachutes; do action songs and sing nursery rhymes. Caregivers participate with their children throughout this session, helping and encouraging them to join in.

During story time, we listen to a story relating to the term’s theme. Caregivers sit with their children and help them to sit quietly and listen.

During morning tea, caregivers enjoy morning tea with their children. Please bring your own morning tea.

During free-play time, there is a range of quality toys available for the children to play with, and plenty of time for the adults to have a chat. An optional craft is available for parents to help their children complete.

What to bring?

$3 per week or $20 per term per family (donation towards running costs)
Your own fruit for morning tea
A water bottle for your child
A willingness to participate with your child and have FUN!
