For over 10 years post their ‘retirement’ Don and Carol Anderson have served with us at St George North in a part time capacity, especially ministering at the 8:30am congregation at Bexley. Their tireless efforts above and beyond the call of duty have been a wonderful testimony to their love for the Lord and for his people.
So it is with some sadness that Don will be finishing up with us in a paid capacity at the end of this year. The Parish Council have made this decision reluctantly but taking into account our increasing property needs and the growth of our staff team. In particular, Jason Veitch and I will step in and take on much of the role that Don has fulfilled in the past. Don and Carol are aiming to take a 3-6 month ‘Sabbatical’ to work out what’s next for them in their ‘retirement’.
Please join us in praying for Don and Carol:
• Give thanks for their wonderful ministry here for over 10 years.
• Pray for them in their ‘retirement’ that they will have time to rest and enjoy the next phase of life.
For those wanting to show their appreciation in a tangible way we will be having a morning tea after the 8:30am service on 20 December to express our thanks to the Andersons.
